Yes you can, but for every presentation one separate delegate has to be registered.
What category do I submit my paper under?
Multiple categories can be chosen. Being the author of the paper, you can freely choose the topic or several topics that fits best.
Can I get a conference invitation letter for a visa application?
Yes, you can. Write a request to the secretariat by emailing rilemkenya[at]uonbi[dot]ac[ke]
Can I submit the abstract and paper, not attend the conference and still have my papers published?
The right to have your work published in the RILEM proceedings is reserved only paper that are presented at the conference.
Can I get a receipt or an invoice after making the payment?
Yes, you can. Request the organising committee via email.
Is there an option for virtual attendance?
There is no option for virtual participation at the conference. Only Technical Committees and Standing Committees will be held in hybrid format.
What are the exact dates of the conference?
The exact dates are 5 - 11 September 2026
Registration starts 5 September
The pre-conference courses along with technical and standing committees will be 6-7 September.
The full conference will be 8-10 September
A technical visit will be offered 11 September
Once payment has been made, can I be added as a speaker on the LinkedIn event?
Yes, you can. Write an email to the organising committee with your LinkedIn Profile as a URL.
Are all Nationalities welcome?
Yes, all nationalities are welcome. No ban or reservation exists preventing citizens from any country from visiting Kenya. Please apply for an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA). Please check the Visa and Travel Authorisation Page.
Can I submit my abstract or full paper via email?
Unfortunately not. Participants should make their submissions on this portal so that it can easily be allocated to reviewers.
Can I apply for the PhD Travel grant as a master's student?
The PhD travel grants have since been allocated.
Since the deadline of abstract submission was extended, will there be an extension on the PhD Travel Grant application?
No. The PhD Travel Grant awardees were already selected.
