Guidelines for Authors

Scientific contributions

Regular speakers can contribute to the conference in several ways:

  • A full paper (6 to 12 pages) for an oral presentation. The paper will be published in the Springer Proceedings. 
  • A short communication paper (2 to 4 pages) for an oral presentation. The paper will be published in a printed book that will be given to the delegates. The copyright of the paper will remain with the delegates.
  • A poster presentation (A0 format) without or with a paper publication. The paper publication process is equal to the publication processes for oral presentations. 

The conference will have plenary and session keynotes.

Book of abstracts

All publications and poster presentations require the submission of an abstract, The abstract will be published in a book of abstracts at the conferenec.

Proceedings with full paper

All full papers (6-12 pages) will be included in the conference proceedings.

The conference proceedings will be published by Springer (Scopus-indexed and Ei Compendex-indexed). Please note that for full papers have to be original and a copyright transfer to RILEM is mandatory.

Conference short communication booklet

Short communication papers (2-4 pages) will be printed and published in printed book format exclusively to the conference delegates. The authors retain copyright. The conference is granted a non-exclusive right to publish the contribution in the printed proceedings of the conference.

Guidelines for posters

The layout of posters is free, no poster template is imposed by the conference organisers.

Please prepare an A0 poster and bring the hard copy with you.

The submission and approval of an abstract are mandatory for poster submission. Poster presenters are free to submit a full paper or short communication in addition, by abinding by the rules and deadlines set for the paper formats.

Guidelines to authors

Regular abstracts should be 300 words maximum. They should be prepared using the template available here. The deadline for regular abstract submission is given here.

A full paper should be 6 pages minimum to 12 pages maximum. It should be prepared using the template available here.

Upon acceptance, the RILEM copyright form must also be provided by authors.

A short communication paper (2 to 4 pages) should also be prepared using the template available here.

The authors retain copyright. The conference is granted a non-exclusive right to publish the contribution in the printed proceedings of the conference.

Authors whose abstracts have been accepted are required to submit their chosen scientific contribution document (as mentiond above) through their personal account by logging into the website  and completing their initial submission, which can be found in My Space > My Submission.

Authors are asked not to create a new submission.

Full papers, and short communications, and regular abstracts must be submitted in Word format as "supplementary data".
